Nardini, a Scotland-based ice cream and coffee brand has entered India through a strategic collaboration with FranGlobal, the international business arm of Franchise India Group.
Established in 1890 the family-run brand is known for its handmade gelato, artisanal coffee and Italian indulgence. The brand is a part of Viva Italia Group, a Scottish hospitality and lifestyle company, operating across dining, events and the premium fashion segment.
Over the years, Nardini continues to evolve while preserving its recipes, traditions and brand identity. Nardini represents more than an ice cream and coffee brand, building a heritage proposition around authentic Italian craftsmanship, distinctive products and trusted quality offerings.
The brand will expand in India through the FOCO (Franchise-owned, company operated) model, bringing over 10 years of Italian heritage and offerings to the country. It will meet the demands of premium dessert indulgence through its outlets in India, creating customer engagement and revenue opportunities for its investors.
The brand will offer launch support to its franchise partners, as well as provide training to the staff members and aftercare support. The brand will also offer an incubator programme lasting 3-6 months to ensure smooth operations and maintain the standard and positioning of the brand in the country. The brand will also assist in supply chain management, local marketing campaigns, technology setups and menu development, adapting the brand to the local needs of the country.
Commenting on the brand’s entry to India, Gaurav Marya, Chairman, Franchise India, said: “Nardini’s entry into India marks an exciting opportunity to introduce rich Italian heritage, craftsmanship, introducing handmade gelato, artisanal coffee and other premium desserts to Indian customers. With a legacy rooted in tradition and a commitment to quality and innovation, the brand has the potential to connect with India’s growing consumer base looking for premium ice cream and beverage options, engaging with them, creating meaningful partnerships with investors across different parts of the country to support the brand’s long-term growth in India.”
