Iris Galerie sits at the intersection of photography, art, gifting, décor and personal expression—making it relevant for consumers seeking memorable, custom-made experiences rather than conventional retail purchases. Iris Galerie’s ethos is to “immortalise” the iris. Its entry also reflects the growing potential of experience-led retail in India, where consumers increasingly seek customised products, meaningful gifting options and shareable in-store experiences.

The Secret Eye Collection
Iris Galerie’s jewellery offering draws inspiration from the historical tradition of eye miniatures. In the 18th century, the future George IV, then Prince of Wales, is believed to have sent a miniature eye portrait in jewellery form to his future wife as a token of affection; the gesture is said to have inspired a wider trend for eye representations in jewellery.

This idea informs Iris Galerie’s The Secret Eye collection, which translates an iris image into an intimate and personal keepsake. Designed with a graphic, bohemian aesthetic, the collection positions iris jewellery as a symbol of memory, affection and individuality. The brand’s wider product portfolio also includes collections such as Bloom and Holy.

India Expansion Strategy
Commenting on the expansion, Gaurav Marya, Chairman, Franchise India Group, said, “Iris Galerie has built a strong international presence across key global cities, including Paris, New York, London and Singapore. Its entry into India is an important step in the brand’s wider Asian expansion strategy. With rising consumer demand for personalised experiences, premium gifting and experiential retail, India offers strong potential for the concept to build a meaningful footprint.”

Iris Galerie is also exploring expansion in markets such as Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo and Seoul, while evaluating prospective franchise partnerships for larger South Asian markets.

Its entry also reflects the growing potential of experience-led retail in India, where consumers are increasingly seeking customised products, meaningful gifting options and shareable in-store experiences.
